Winter

There's snow in every street
Where I go up and down,
And there's no woman,man,or dog
That knows me in the town.

I know each shop,and all
These Jews, and Russian Poles,
For I go walking night and noon
To spare my sack of coals.

Old image.

Sometimes old images come out of nowhere.
I don't remember when I get this image .
Any way,Vicki and I likes this one.

Kijun's little Buddha

It's one of Kijun's graduate show work. Although it has been sold but
he did not seem to be happy. It made me think a lot.

I guess it was not just a work but his persona.

What do we do in Bricklane?

Last Thursday's lecture was fantastic. I've never thought about any researching or writing of a certain space when I photograph them. In a sense, walking on Brick Lane at dawn was quite new experience. I tried to find something different to that crowded Sunday market and read this location.

Demolishing and building was simultaneously going on.People were very busy at dawn like many other London street but hardly see any Jewish vestige. I believe that 'Rodinsky's room' was a good example of reading Brick Lane, but it does not tell any 'now' story.

I do not think I can keep going on this research unless I have any sense of belonging in there. However it was quite interesting morning with my class mate Soyed. Let's apply this method to some other space. Like..?
